LISTEN AND FIGURE IT OUT
is an activity that I created for my students a couple of years ago to help learn figurative language. This was most of my students' favorite ELA activity. Initially, I made the slides that students would determine what type of figurative language. However, because the ultimate purpose of identifying the different types at the elementary level is for students to be able to distinguish between figurative and literal language better. That is when I started created the types to just identify whether it was figurative or literal.
